Padron peppers are the perfect side dish or starter, especially if you’re serving them as part of a Spanish feast. They’re also great as a quick snack, too!
Our padron peppers recipe can be cooked in a frying pan or air fryer, depending on the tools you have at hand. However, each recipe only takes a handful of ingredients and a few minutes.
Heat the olive oil in a large frying pan over a high heat. Add the padron peppers and let them fry, stirring occasionally. Fry for 5 minutes or until they have blistered and wilted. The padron peppers should be slightly charred and softened but still tender.
Take off the heat and serve in a bowl or plate. Season with sea salt flakes.
Air fryer padron peppers: If you’re cooking padron peppers in an air fryer, preheat the air fryer to 200C. Add the padron peppers to the basket and allow them to cook for 3 minutes before shaking them and leaving them to cook for a further 2 minutes on the other side. Once charred and tender, remove and serve in a bowl and with a sprinkle of sea salt flakes.
